A Labour of Love

This is a layout from my early days of scrapbooking, (really early!)....back then even my editing skills left a lot to be disired....I would take a scan of half the page and then the other half and then try and link the two sides together with my editing software (It's not hard to see where I linked them up! LOL)....so happy we now have digital cameras to take pic's of the layouts!

Recently it was my parents 57th wedding anniversary, so I had the idea to put a bunch of the layouts and photos in a video clip for them (I burned it to a disc as well for them).  This way they can see a scrapbook of themselves and their kids (my brothers and sister) and their grandkids as well without having to lug out some heavy albums.  Here is the video I made for them....

Ya, it's a 19 minute video, mainly meant as a gift for my family....but all are welcome to see.  I have to smile at some of my first attempts at scrapbooking mixed into this montage :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! xo xo

Oh thank you for sharing this scrap journey with us. I sat and watched and just love each one, even the earlier ones.. We worked with what we had paper and embellishment wise, and I loved how you have evolved to where you are now. I too love the bracket and circle shapes on my layout. Love the stamping and mixed media too! Beautiful keepsake I am sure you family will love to view over and over! Enjoy your weekend!

I watched your video in 2 different sessions (kitty argument in between) - it was so beautiful and wonderful - truly a work of love. I see hours upon hours of creation and heart all the way through. What a wonderful gift - that can be watched over and over! You have a beautiful family - and thanks for sharing it with us.

I remember the first time I saw one of your layouts on scrapbook.com I was hooked. I had just taken my first scrapbooking class and was looking at layouts to see the different styles. I was in awe of your work. It was because of you that I joined MCS kit club where I am a member to this day. You've evolved in front of my eyes all the while teaching me as you went. Being able to connect with you and share some of our common background was thrilling and over time you became not only my mentor but my friend. I look forward to seeing your latest creations regularly. To this day I am still in awe of you and your talent and feel blessed to have gotten to know you a bit. Thank-you for sharing your wonderful creations with us and for always being willing to teach us thru your kits and on your blog. To this day I believe that you should be an instructor getting paid for sharing your wealth of knowledge and talent. If I was rich I would have a weekend with Gabrelle Pollaco retreat every year here in Gravenhurst at the Marriott! Still thinking of how to make that work! You're the best! In all that you do! All the best my friend! Big hugs! <3
