BIG NEWS!!! I've Designed Stencils for The Crafter's Workshop!!! {Video Tutorial too!!}

I've been keeping this exciting little secret for many months now and I'm just bursting to spill it!!  I have 6 new stencils coming out in The Crafter's Workshop NEW RELEASES!! TCW stencils have long been a favorite product to work with in my layouts and art projects, so I was so thrilled to be allowed to design stencils for them!!  The art journal cover above was made using 3 of the 6x6 stencils....

It ended up the 'Tuscan Wall' stencil was a perfect fit for the Dusty Attic Door#3 I used in the cover design!  Here are the pieces I used from Dusty Attic.....

And used some of my favorite Shimmerz Paints  on it as well.  Here are the colors I used to paint/spritz and texture the front and back cover....

Shimmerz Paints:

- Heidi Ho Blue Coloringz
- Glorious Day Vibez
- Chocolate Brownie Coloringz
- Taupe of the World Vibez
- Bamboo Leaf Spritz
- Olive Branch Spritz
- Emerald City Inklingz
- Artichoked Texturez
- Pumpkin Shimmerz
NOTE: Get a FREE/Bonus Shimmerz Paint product in the color of your choice by mentioning my name in the INSTRUCTIONS TO MERCHANT/SELLER part if your next order! Shimmerz Paint Store

So here is a video tutorial I made up showing step by step how I made this cover design....grab a cuppa and enjoy! xo....

Hope you enjoyed my video tutorial and feel inspired to give my stencils and some of these lovely products a try!  Here is a front and back cover view of the design....

Here are a few more close-ups to view at your leisure....

I was so happy that the Dusty Attic chipboard doors fit so nicely to the 6x6 Tuscan Wall Stencil!  I also used some of my Crackle Textures Stamps on this design as you can see on the door panels.  The Stamps are available at The Scrapbook Diaries. (I also know that Janene, at The Scrapbook Diaries has ordered in all the the stencils used in this video! So keep your eye peeled on her store, if you like to order online!)

Here I used my Moving Vines stencil having them peek out from under the corner chipboard design from Dusty Attic (DeVine Frame Set). (Dusty Attic Chipboard can be found at The Scrapbook Diaries and at Moments of Tranquility)

A close-up of the cracked wall texture and the peeled paint stamping.

After I finished the front and back cover designs. I lined the inside with some pretty cardstock. Then reattached the book binding to the cover pieces.

A picture of the back of the book design.  I like to keep it without a lot of embellishing as that part takes more wear and tear as you use the book, so I just stuck to the textures I got from my stencils.

I have 3 more stencil designs to share with you all!  And lots of projects I've made with both the 12x12 and 6x6 stencils!  I'm super excited to see what some of you will be making with them as well!  ....and what is happening with this fun little art journal?  Jaime Echt from Crafters Workshop will be at a paper crafting show this coming weekend (SPC show in Salt Lake City...for any of you vendors attending this show) and will be entering names into a hat for everyone that orders at the show, and a random winner will be chosen to be the proud new owner of this art journal!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and sharing in my exciting news! Your kind comments and feedback always make my day! xo

A HUGE congrats on these gorgeous new stencils and getting to design them for TCW!! All I can say on the art journal cover is OMG WOW!! I actually have just recently bought a kraft card journal and was looking at options of decorating the covers. I may just have to take some inspiration from yours and combine it with some of the class practicing etc, as it's for some online alcohol marker/pencil classes!! That's if it's okay with you Gabrielle?! That's if I even get around to getting it done!! LOL

Yoyr stencils are as nice as your stamps; beautiful, versatile, and a little goes a long way! Love the Dusty Attic Column & pots die cuts as well. Wish someone (hint, hint) would do ancient Greek gods and goddesses as well as architectural elements - stamp or stencil fine!

Thanks Shamela! I believe Janene at The Scrapbook Diaries ships internationally, just email her for a shipping quote, I'm sure she can get you a reasonable rate for lightweight packages. xo

Thanks so much Christine! And Yes, of course go for it, sounds like your idea of using alcohol markers and pencils will look amazing! xo

I really love all of your stencils but no one in England seems to have them yet. Can you tell me if they might be sold over here. I have others from the Crafter's Workshop so maybe I'll just have to be patient.
I think the Tuscan Wall is my favourite.
I really love watching your videos, please make more.

Hi Ann, thanks so much! The catalogue fir the Summer collections just went out to the stores so they won't be in the stores for a few more weeks. But yes, TCW sells internationally, so I believe they will be available in stores near you (If you have a favorite crafting store near you, you can ask them to add them to their order list ;) xo

Well, I was able to order your Tuscan Wall stencil from Scrapbook Diaries but she doesn't have your peeled paint stamp in yet, darn it. I love that stamp. I also purchased the door and the vines frame. I'm dying to re-create your image on one of my art journals:) Hugs, Maggie

What a wonder display for your new stencils. Can you tell me where I might be able to buy these 3 stencils? I went to the TCW site and could not find them. Very exciting. They are just fantastic

Gabrielle Pollacco said...

Thanks so much Donna! Yes, the TCW site is for store owners...the stencils are brand new and just now being ordered by retailers so it will be a few more weeks before you see them in stores. But I know that Janene at The Scrapbook Diaries is taking pre-orders right now (soon as they come in she will ship them out to you) here's her link https://www.thescrapbookdiaries.com/shop/

Gabrielle Pollacco said...

Aw, thanks so much Maggie, I talked to Janene, and she thinks she may have a few more of the texture stamps she hasn't put up in her store yet. Contact her at janene@thescrapbookdiaries.com and see if she can help you (if she's out of them she will be putting an order in for another run, so they should be in around the same time as the stencils)....Thanks again for your kind support! xo

Wow, I just love your work. May I ask where did you get the door knob? It is the perfect finishing touch. Thanks.

Gabrielle Pollacco said...

Thanks so much hon! The door plate (behind the knob) is a tiny Dusty Attic chipboard piece, and the knob is just a metal brad....I show it in the video tutorial, I just poked a hole in the door plate and stuck in the brad to look like a knob. ;)

This has to be my absolute favourite of all your creations Gabrielle, I adore everything that you do and you're my go to for inspiration! I'd like to know which supplier Jenny is talking about because I too am in the UK and NEED your stencils! I'm planning a mixed media canvas with a Greek theme as we holiday there a lot and it's such a beautiful place, thanks to your using the pots and columns chipboard I've got more inspiration for it and have found a UK supplier to get them from, thank you, thank you!
