Today at Webster's Pages, the design team girls were asked to make tags reflecting things we are thankful for. For me a biggie is my family. I just thank God daily for them, and the joy they bring me. I found this quote on Pinterest that I thought would perfectly fit the sentiment of the tag...
"Gratitude turns
what we have
Into enough"
It's easy to be thankful for all the big things in our life, but it's the little things that often mean the most,.... my youngest coming in the door after school and asking how I'm feeling (when she knew I've been fighting a cold), dancing to a fun song while making the girls their breakfast, my oldest DD still willing to share with me what's going on with her and her friends, Steve calling and asking if I need him to pick something up on the way home. I love my family and never want to take for granted the privilege I have of being a wife and mother.
For this layout I used a bunch of scraps I had left-over from my Best Friends papers and did some misting, doodling and stitching to finish the tag. I also embellished with some Websters Pages trims and Perfect Accents (resin heart). I kept this tag extra thin without a lot of 3D embellishments so I could use it as a bookmark. What do you like to do with your tags?
Wow, that's a wonderful tag. So many fantastic details.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Tag.
ReplyDeleteoh wow gorgeous tag!!
ReplyDeleteA very pretty tag!! The phrase is so true....
ReplyDeleteI love all the elements you used and the saying is just beautiful. It's so very true!
ReplyDeleteGosh, such a gorgeous tag! I really love making tags lately and yours are so inspiring:) I can't believe you handwrote the quote BTW: I'm sooo envious on your handwriting ;)
ReplyDeleteIt really doesn't matter which size you're using, your creations are always full of inspiration. Love your tag design, too. (:o)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work - I like all the little details that add up to a perfect lovely tag.
ReplyDeleteI love these tags and the sentiment is beautiful. I think the first one is a fave for me.
ReplyDeleteLove your tag, very creative!
ReplyDeleteI've told you before how much I love tags and am so happy you let me lift one you made previously which I shared on my blog. You always are such an inspiration! I love this tag. Mine, so far, have tended to be a bit bulky! I like to decorate with mine--just sit them on top of a stack of books or propped up into a wreath.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I love this mini masterpiece and I totally agree with you... family is the most important thing to me and the times when we are all together are the richest ... and I really have not taken the time to make tags, I guess they would be good on a layout or centre of a card or a great bookmark too!!
ReplyDeleteYour tag is absolutely gorgeous. I particularly love the doodled hearts. The colours are lovely and all the tiny details soooooo pretty. Having only recently found you blog, introduction was via my dear friend Nancy over at 'Tattered Treasures', I am enjoying visiting and reading older posts. I have a feeling I'm going to be here lots and lots.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your beautiful creations.
Warmest best wishes,
Susanne
Hi :) love love love tags, and yours is stunning.... and yes, you are totally right about 'the little things'... thanks for your encouraging words you left on my blog, I really appreciated them xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a mega cool tag filled with so many "delicious" looking details. I love the handmade hearts and all the stitching.
ReplyDeleteWish you a creative week :)
Great tag and that quote is so true.
ReplyDeleteIt is so easy to stray from that quote and helps to be reminded of its truth and simplicity!
I treasure my family too...every single one of them but especially my grandchildren! I love seeing them learn and grow and mature. DH has been filling in for me on the walking little Miss C to school task. I am finally strong enough again to walk that far and told him I could start back to it next week. He looked pensive and then said I could join him as was never missing that again! Such joy in the little things!
