Scrapping a Favourite Book Title {With Bo Bunny}

Today at Bo Bunny Blog the girls were challenged to create a layout using the title of a book.  The girls came up with some really cool layouts!  As for me, I chose a childrens book.  I went with the title of one of Meagan's and my favorite book when she was a preschooler, "A Pocket Full of Kisses".  This book by Audry Penn and another one by her caled "The Kissing Hand" were 2 books that really helped her through the first month of Junior Kindergarten.  It's a story about a mother raccoon that helps her little shy baby by placing a kiss in her palm and telling her that whenever she finds herself getting nervous or shy at school, she should bring her palm to her cheek and tell herself "Mama loves you".

In "A Pocket Full of Kisses", (this book was about the mother giving the baby racoon a tissue with a spritz of her perfume to tuck in her pocket so that when she wants to feel secure and think of home all she has to do is pull out the hankie and breath in the scent of her mama to bring her home).  In keeping with the idea of the title I created a pocket that I cut from an old pair of denim jeans of Meagans.  I then made a bunch of thick 'stems' cut from some cardstock and put on each of them the name of a favorite book she had (Titles like "Goodnight Moon", "I Love You Stinky Face", "I'll Love You Forever"), along with the authors and then glued a Bo Bunny bloom at the top of each.  I then tucked the whole 'bouquet' in the pocket....now when Meagan grows up and has babies of her own she can pull out the stems and share these books she enjoyed with her own baby.

Below is a photo of the bouquet with one of the stems pulled out.....
And here is the book cover that inspired this page....
I felt so nostalgic making up this page!  And sometimes a little tearful thinking about all the sweet books I would read them. What are some of the childrens books you enjoyed sharing with your kids?  I still have kept all of ours for the next generation.  If you haven't tried using a book title for a layout, give it a go, it is a great launching point for making a unique page.  If you want to see more great book title layouts done by our talented Bo Bunny designers don't forget to go to the Bo Bunny Blog today to see more!  If you create a page using a book title (using bo bunny products) take the time to share your link at the Bo Bunny blog post for today and have a chance at winning a nice Bo Bunny prize!  You have until June 1st to enter!  Happy Scrapping!
