Playing with tags!

Today at Webster's Pages, the design team girls were asked to make tags reflecting things we are thankful for.  For me a biggie is my family.  I just thank God daily for them, and the joy they bring me.  I found this quote on Pinterest that I thought would perfectly fit the sentiment of the tag...

"Gratitude turns
what we have
Into enough"

It's easy to be thankful for all the big things in our life, but it's the little things that often mean the most,.... my youngest coming in the door after school and asking how I'm feeling (when she knew I've been fighting a cold), dancing to a fun song while making the girls their breakfast, my oldest DD still willing to share with me what's going on with her and her friends, Steve calling and asking if I need him to pick something up on the way home.  I love my family and never want to take for granted the privilege I have of being a wife and mother.

For this layout I used a bunch of scraps I had left-over from my Best Friends papers and did some misting, doodling and stitching to finish the tag.  I also embellished with some Websters Pages trims and Perfect Accents (resin heart).  I kept this tag extra thin without a lot of 3D embellishments so I could use it as a bookmark.  What do you like to do with your tags?

I've told you before how much I love tags and am so happy you let me lift one you made previously which I shared on my blog. You always are such an inspiration! I love this tag. Mine, so far, have tended to be a bit bulky! I like to decorate with mine--just sit them on top of a stack of books or propped up into a wreath.

Oh wow, I love this mini masterpiece and I totally agree with you... family is the most important thing to me and the times when we are all together are the richest ... and I really have not taken the time to make tags, I guess they would be good on a layout or centre of a card or a great bookmark too!!

Your tag is absolutely gorgeous. I particularly love the doodled hearts. The colours are lovely and all the tiny details soooooo pretty. Having only recently found you blog, introduction was via my dear friend Nancy over at 'Tattered Treasures', I am enjoying visiting and reading older posts. I have a feeling I'm going to be here lots and lots.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations.

Great tag and that quote is so true.

It is so easy to stray from that quote and helps to be reminded of its truth and simplicity!

I treasure my family too...every single one of them but especially my grandchildren! I love seeing them learn and grow and mature. DH has been filling in for me on the walking little Miss C to school task. I am finally strong enough again to walk that far and told him I could start back to it next week. He looked pensive and then said I could join him as was never missing that again! Such joy in the little things!
