I always enjoy doing-up my l/o's for the Zva Creative design team. Working with all the pretty crystal elements....who wouldn't love that LOL! Zva will be coming out with some new and exciting products next month for the summer CHA show.....I'll be sure to post the l/o's I make with them for everyone to see here!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Pubbed in Summer Issue of Scrapbooking & Beyond!

A few days ago I received my copies of the Summer issue for Scrapbooking & Beyond Magazine. It was so exciting to see a page I made called 'Summertime Memories' in print!! A dear friend of mine Liz Qualman arranged for a series of articles inwhich she and I and two other good friends, Robbie Herring and Debbie Davidson are contributing artists! The articles are on flourishes.....the spring issue featured cyrstal flourishes, the summer issue was all about stitched flourishes. Above is the layout I made for this article. I designed the flourish and hand stitched it, adding some patterned paper in it for added effect. There is also a pull out sheet in the magazine with the flourish designs as a bonus! The photo is one I took at my sweet SIL's cottage last summer of the girls playing in the sand with their uncle.

Here is a cover shot of the Scrapbooking & Beyond Magazine....

The Fall issue will be all about rub-on flourishes and creative ways to use them on your pages! We've cooked up some really cute ideas for your scrapbook pages so if you get a chance to pick up an issue, do check it out!

On a side note.....I've been working hard on getting some exciting new things done for my etsy site! ......I've been asked if I would make premade scrapbook pages for the site....so I've been trying to get some done.....they should be up in a few days so keep checking! :)

Thanks!!

Beautiful June Kits at My Creative Scrapbook

Such a beautiful line-up of kits this month at My Creative Scrapbook!! I'm going to start with the Limited Edition kit again as this one was such a big favourite of mine this month! This kit is packed with ALL the papers in the BasicGrey Wisteria line plus the colour Chipboard elements, stickers and letter stickers (love the size and style of the letter stickers....so pretty!!) Plus loads of Prima goodies in this one too, beautiful blooms and crystals, lot's of fun little extras! Here are some l/o's I made with this kit......

This is a layout I made of my nephew and his new baby girl using the LE kit, I love the ribbons in this kit, they have the wire edges that make it easy to make a beautiful bow.....

Here's one more page I made with the LE kit, and I still had plenty more goodies from the kit to do more! This is a photo I recently took of Chloe, she has so many different hairdo's, I thought Cameleon was a good title for the l/o....

Now on to the main kit for June.....another fun filled kit featuring the pretty papers by LilyBee Designs, from their French Couture collection. This kit is packed with gorgeous embellies too! Lovely bronze colour crystal flourishes by ZVA CREATIVE, the crystals in this kit is one of my all time favourite designs by Zva. Here's the first l/o I made with this kit (you'll love the pretty extra's in this kit...the brads are like little pieces of jewellery)....

The rose in the corner of this l/o was hand made! I posted a tutorial at MCS if anyone wants to give this a try ... Rose Tutorial ..... here are some close-up pics of this page....

Here is a second l/o I made using the same kit, there are such pretty rub-ons included in this kit by Fancy Pants!.....

And here is a 3rd layout I made using the Main kit for June, .....this is a picture I took of the girls a few weeks back when we went on a little weekend walk.....

Still more lovely kit's available this month at MCS. Here are two l/o's I made using the Creative kit which features these beautiful papers by Jillybean Soup.....

The clusters of roses on this page were handmade using the patterned paper in the kit. I've posted another tutorial at MCS on how to make these cute little blooms (thanks Helen!).... Rose Bloom Tutorial ....here are some close-up pics!

And finally if you want something a little different again....check out the Album kit from MCS this month....full of pretty papers by Scenic Route.....here is a l/o I made with this kit, I found this sweet photo of Chloe when she was a little over a year old,the papers in this kit were perfect for it!....

I made the red blooms using the EK Success Retro Flower punch, I simply centered the punch over the dotted red paper to get the cute little red blooms, here are some close-ups.....

So there you are, 4 beautiful kits for the month of June! Want more inspiration? Go check out how the rest of the Design Team used these kits! You won't be disappointed!
Please Note: There were some technical difficulties this morning on the main website, but you can see the kits revealed in the announcement area of the message board. The shopping carts are still open for ordering and the kits will all be shipping as scheduled.

Life is coming up Butterflies and Blooms!

I know that's what we all like to see on our pages, so I'm getting as many of these pretties up at my esty site as I can! I've added more blooms and some really gorgeous butterflies. Come have a peek at what I've been up to!

I've also found a new passion! ....Felting! I've made these soft pretty pins/brooches from felted wool sweaters (this process allows you to cute the knit fabric without it fraying). I cut layers and layers of the knited fabric and combined moss green wool for leaves then put pretty buttons or pearl beads in the center, finally sewing on a brooch pin so that they can be used on coats, sweaters, blouses, hats, hairbands and purses. These are so soft and pretty, you have to see the IRL! .....here are a few I've made!....

I've also added a great assortment of my paper blooms, butterflies and dragonflies! Here are some of the newest styles of butterflies and dragonflies I've added! (I'll be adding more dragonflies this evening, I believe the already sold out this afternoon)

Lots of fun new things and some old favourites! Come have a peek if you have a minute!

Thanks!
