Life is coming up Butterflies and Blooms!

I know that's what we all like to see on our pages, so I'm getting as many of these pretties up at my esty site as I can! I've added more blooms and some really gorgeous butterflies. Come have a peek at what I've been up to!

I've also found a new passion! ....Felting! I've made these soft pretty pins/brooches from felted wool sweaters (this process allows you to cute the knit fabric without it fraying). I cut layers and layers of the knited fabric and combined moss green wool for leaves then put pretty buttons or pearl beads in the center, finally sewing on a brooch pin so that they can be used on coats, sweaters, blouses, hats, hairbands and purses. These are so soft and pretty, you have to see the IRL! .....here are a few I've made!....

I've also added a great assortment of my paper blooms, butterflies and dragonflies! Here are some of the newest styles of butterflies and dragonflies I've added! (I'll be adding more dragonflies this evening, I believe the already sold out this afternoon)

Added some new items to my Etsy site!

Just dropping a quick note to let everyone know I added some new items (and favourites from last week) to my etsy site today! I know things went really fast last week and I've been working hard at getting more of my goodies ready for uploading to to etsy the last few days. I'm really excited to offer this beautiful new 'Corner Cluster' bloom! Do you ever find yourself fiddling forever trying to get just the 'right look' to your flower embellishments? Well, no more! I did it all for you with this beautiful corner vine bloom! All you have to do is add it to your page!.....

Simply add it to the corner of your photo or scrapbook page as I've shown here in my example....

I've also added more vines and butterflies for those of you who may have missed out last week. But not to worry, I'll continue to get them on there as quickly as I can if they've sold out before you have a chance at them! :D

I've opened my own Etsy Site!!!

I'm so excited to tell everyone what I've been up to, in the teeny tiny bit of spare time I've had lately!.....I've been making really cute and unique embellies for scrapbook pages, cards and altered items! Everything from handmade flower vines, tiny mosaic art pieces to shimmery butterfly embellishments are now available in my Etsy Shop! I've uploaded a few of my creations today and will be uploading many more soon! I made the above l/o using some of my butterfly embellishments, my flower vines and my mosaic pieces to showcase a few of the items I have for sale.

This is a photo Chloe took of Meagan walking our dog the other day.....I had to giggle when I saw her funny 'get-up'.....brown floral leggings, a grey top with a black jacket and topped it all off with a turquoise Scooby-doo hat! .........Here are some close ups of the items in my etsy shop (blue butterflies, rose floral vine, mosaic faux hinges) .........




There's plenty of styles of butterflies to choose from including my transparency butterflies with metalic flourishes, beautiful Flower Vines in a variety of styles and colours and these really elegant looking page Mosaics I made using a variety of products including glass beads and rhinestones and incorporating many different techniques to get these fun little art pieces. Here they are.....The Awesome May kits for My Creative Scrapbook!!

I'm going to start with the Limited Edition kit again, because that one is my favourite!! (this kit can be found for viewing when you click on 'purchase add-on kit', don't worry this doesn't automatically make you purchase)...this kit is just packed with fun and creative goodies!! Brand new 7 Gypsies papers including a beautiful selection of the flocked/foil papers (you have to see these IRL to see how gorgeous they are!)....also in the kit, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Screens to mask with, beautiful Prima blooms and crystal flourishes, Heidi Swapp and Theresa Collins clocks, awesome rub-ons and huge chipboard sheets, ribbons and black lace! Here are some l/o's I made with this super-fun kit!.....

I just love this photo of Chloe and her girlfriends and I didn't even take this picture! Meagan was playing with my camera and she took it through the front door window, I know it's not the most sharp clear photo but I just love it anyways, it's the essense of Chloe and her friends. Here are some closeup pics.....




Here's another l/o I made using this beautiful kit.....there are so many lovely papers to choose from in this kit....here I went with some of the green papers....

I used some window screening across the bottom to make the scallop design, everthing else is in the kit, here are some close-ups....


One more page I made using this kit.......

I used the Glimmer Screens in a different and unique way to create this dragonfly embellishment! I've given a tutorial at My Creative Scrapbook tips and tricks thread on how to make this embellishment, click here to see the tutorial! Here are some closeups of this l/o......




The May Main Kit this month is full of beautiful papers, blooms and embellies!! here are a couple of l/o's I made using this kit....

I just have to laugh when I see the funny faces Meagan makes, she just cracks me up!.....I loved the earthy colours in this kit, here's some close-ups!

Another page I made with this kit is this beach layout of my youngest dd and her cousin!.....I used edge fading software on the edges of the photo, it was a nice surprise the way the photo faded into the background.....

There is a really cute die-cut paper in this kit, I used the throw away punch out pieces from the edges to make the yellow daisy bloom for this l/o.....

Another really fun kit this month is the Creative kit, again lots of pretty paper, blooms, chipboard sheets and bling flourishes!!......




And one more l/o for the Creative kit, you'll have fun with all the chipboard pieces in this one!....

**NEW** Challenge at MCS with YUMMY Prima/Zva Prize!!

Like what you see??? Well, we've got another awesome Prima Prize up for grabs!!.......Loads of gorgeous blooms, crystals and sparkling butterflies! We're doing this challenge in honour of National Scrapbook Day!.........Back by popular demand, we're doing another 'Lift the Design Team' challenge! We heard you all enjoyed it when we did it a couple months back and so we're doing it again! Starting today and going until the end of the month (May 31st at midnight)......you can enter a layout that is a lift of any of the Design team layouts (you can view past DT layouts by going to the main page of MCS and clicking on the Design Team Gallery. You can view past layouts by clicking on the past dates at the top (in pink).

So here are the rules......there really are none!! LOL!!.....just go ahead and lift any of the DT layouts.....It can be an exact lift, or it can be the use of an idea or technique in the DT layout. Or you can take a layout and add your own twist!

Here's the BONUS!!......Anyone who drops in at MCS and puts a comment at the challenge thread on National Scrapbook Day, Saturday May 2nd will be entered into a draw for two nice RAK prizes!! At 7 PM I will put all the names in a hat and draw 2 names.....I will announce the winner shortly after 7:00 (May 2nd) and Pam will send off the little bonus prizes!
