I made the above layout using the beautiful Bo Bunny Winter Joy collection of papers and embellishments. This was the featured collection for the January Album kit at My Creative Scrapbook. I did a little handstitching on the blue paper and put a little adhesive gem in the corner of each diamond.
Tip: I used the blue patterned paper to create my stitched diamond effect because it already has a faint diamond shaped pattern on it.....all I had to do was follow the design on the paper, no rulers or measuring needed! .....another TIP: making small punctures along the sewing lines before you begin handstitching makes the job a whole lot easier and quicker.

I couldn't resist and made one more project using this lovely collection. This is a photo of my nephew and his oldest baby girl.
This time I did a little machine stitching on the page and added some of the lovely Bo Bunny trim and chipboard.
TIP: I attached the pearl strand using the amazing Tombow liquid adhesive, it works great for attaching trims. Just apply the glue, wait for it to dry slightly (it gets nice and tacky) then attach the strand. Here are a few close-up shots....
