Still In Love with Webster's Pages "In Love"!

Here's is another layout I've been working on in a series of pages I've been making as a gift for nephew and his bride.....more with their engagement photos (and I still have some beautiful wedding photos I want to scrap!).  I used some more of my "In Love" collection from Websters Pages to make up this page.
Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Websters Pages "In Love"
Alphabet Stickers: Websters Pages "In Love"
Fabric Tape: Websters Pages "In Love"
Stamp:  Diamond Tag Stamp (Websters Pages/Unity Stamps)
Chipboard Frame: Dusty Attic
Paper Flowers: Fussy cut from In Love papers, & Recollections
Border Punch:  Martha Stewart

The circle frame I used in this layout is an old favourite of mine from Dusty Attic called Decorative Scroll #1, this one comes in 2 layers but for this layout I used only the top layer because I wanted to keep it more delicate.

Well, off to scrap some more, I've got a day planned with the kiddies tomorrow!  How is everyone's summer going so far?

Making a Gift for Family...

A little while back my nephew sent me a whole bunch of beautiful engagement photos of him and his beautiful fiance (now, just recently, his wife!)....I just now had a little time to start putting together some layouts with them.  I plan on doing a few of them and framing them as a gift for them.  For this layout I used some of my all time favourite chipboard pieces from Dusty Attic, the Baroque Frame - Square, the Hinges and the Sentiment words (Love)....and of course the perfect papers for this photo was from the 'In Love' collection from Websters Pages!  The quote I used here I thought so perfectly reflected the photo, it says
"There is only one thing I want to change about you" he said, "Your last name"

Here are a few close-up shots of the page.
Each month the Websters Pages design team gals are asked to do a project that is inspired by the Guest designer for the month, and this months guest designer is Jennifer Gallacher, she has a beautiful clean style of scrapping (a bit different from mine lol!) but I really loved this cute handmade embellishment she added to her page, it was a folded pin-wheel design (You can find Jen's layout at the Websters Pages Inspire Me site), so I used that as my inspiration to create the folded fabric blooms on this page (above).  I shared a tutorial a little while back on how to make these folded blooms, if you want to check it out you can find it HERE

And here are some pic's of the Dusty Attic Chipboard pieces I used to embellish this page.....

While I was working away at some layouts I just couldn't resist playing with some of the NEWEST Dusty Attic chipboard pieces!  There is a new collection of Bamboo designs in the May/June release, as well as a cute new Flourish #8 and a new Hanging Sign #2 (I also used some of my favourite Chicken Wire Panel chippies and the Grass Cluster #1 chipboard pieces.......

The photo's I scrapped here were some I took a few years ago of my youngest daughter Meagan playing mini-golf, this little one plays by her own set of rules, it's almost always her turn, she can take as many shots as she wants (but they always add up to '1'), and I just had to giggle at her form!  ....The papers I used for this page are from the Websters Pages 'Game On' collection, I thought these playful papers would make the perfect backdrop for these photos.  Here are a few close-ups....

Above is a photo of all the different types of chipboard pieces I used for the 'Mini-Golf' layout.  If you are interested in seeing some of the newest chippies for this month from Dusty Attic you can find them HERE.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my latest pages.....and hope you'll come back at the end of the week, I've got some really fun video tutorials to share with you all!!!  Thanks for stopping by! xx

Truly, Madly, Deeply....In LoVe :)

Yep, it's that time again....we are celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary in a few weeks, and every year I like to do a little l/o just for us.  So how perfect that I got all my Webster's Pages 'In Love' design team goodies a couple of days ago!!  I LOVE this collection, such pretty papers and the embellishments (sigh, oh those cameos!)   I came up with the page design after playing with the Websters Pages digi stuff.  I was making little 'signature' designs (see the bottom of my post)...and I was kinda fond of the design I came up with for my signature line and used the design for this page!.....
I was also so happy to have a chance to use one of the newest Dusty Attic chippies on this page.  Isn't that Heart Flourish chipboard lovely?  The finish I gave it was pretty simple.  Just a coating of white Gesso, a touch of pink chalk ink and a coating of Glossy Accents. (close-up above)

TIP:  I've mentioned this one before, but in case anyone missed it.  I always love to save the baking from my ornate style stickers.  This is a piece from a Prima felt strip.  I just lay the piece on my page and then use a make-up sponge to dabb over it with some pink chalk ink.
When you lift off the piece of paper, this is the left behind result. (below)  The backing piece has a waxy/shiney finish on one side that wipes off the ink nicely, so you can use the piece over and over.
While I had out my bits and pieces of  the 'In Love' collection, I decided to make up a couple of cards too!  I have some Weddings and Wedding Showers coming up so I thought these would be perfect for some cardmaking!
The chipboard fram here is another yummy new piece by Dusty Attic (these are a really nice size for cardmaking!)  ATC Frame Set #1
Websters Pages has something new out that they call 'Perfect Motifs" ....you know all those beautiful images we like to cut out from the Websters Papers? Butterflies, dressforms, hearts & blooms?  Yep! they now make this wonderful paper pad just filled with these images, just made for cutting out!  I did this with the little dressform I added to the card, as well as the butterflies.

And here is one more card I made, again using the In Love collection papers, mini pade papers and the Journaling cards!

Well, I'm off to bake for my nephew (and his fiance's) bridal shower (Jack & Jill) this weekend.  Hmmm, now which card shall I use this weekend? :)

Ballerina Bloom Tutorial ~ Using Webster's Pages Trims & Sparklers

Spring is here! And for me, one of my favourite things is the early Spring tulips we have planted around our home.  A few years back we planted hundreds of tulips so that the girls can enjoy picking Spring blooms for our home, friends, family and teachers.    I so enjoyed having my first crack at using the new "In Love" collection papers and embellishments from Webster's Pages.  While they are just perfect for wedding photo's (and you WILL be seeing wedding photo's done with this collection come end of May.....my nephew is getting married!)...I do like this collection for other 'girly' type layouts!  I thought I would also share a fun little tutorial on how to use the Websters Pages trims that come with this collection and make some handmade blooms.

I personally love blooms that have layers of color.  So I took the pretty white fringe trim from the In Love trim kit and added a little pink tint to it with some ink.  Here is a picture of the bloom I will be showing the steps to.  Just follow the instructions in the windows to make your own! :)

You can of cours use a different ink for trim and a complementary color Sparkler for the center (the sparklers come in many colors) depending on what color bloom you want for your page.
NOTE:  I get a lot of questions as to where to find Websters Pages products.  The best way is to let your local scrapstore owner know that you are interested in getting these products in (Check out the Websters Pages Inspire Me site for information on getting these products to your local stores ...you can earn yourself free product if you get your local store to carry WP products)  OR You can always order your product online directly from the Webster's Pages Website.....you'll notice that I try to link all the products I use on my WP pages to the website so that you can easily find the product you are looking for, just click on the product name :)

Thanks for popping in again! Happy Friday everyone, I hope you all have an amazing/creative weekend! xx
